There's nothing quite like bare ground to get the ideas flowing.

My neighbor's garden to the south just got bigger. We stripped sod around the corner and now the planting area wraps all the way around and connects to my garden down the block. Fresh real estate—and a lot of decisions to make.

This video is a walk-through of where things stand: the existing structure that's already in place, what I'm thinking for the new section, and one transplant I decided to tackle on the spot. Every plant in the ground so far came from my garden or as a division, which has been both economical and good for continuity between the two spaces.
