I get pretty lazy in high summer when it comes to hands-on garden chores.‌ But there's still plenty to keep me entertained and occupied.‌

Darcy Daniels Fairytale Portland Garden Bursting with Plants

Over The Fence Landscape Tours Brings Fresh Eyes And New Views

It was a delight to host Donna from the YouTube channel Over the Fence Landscape Tours in my Portland, Oregon garden. It's always fun to see my garden through another person's eyes and this is the first time that I've seen it from above, thanks to her amazing drone footage. She's got a great channel, so after you check out this video tour of my garden, make sure to browse her library for other gems.

I'm a wimp when it comes to hands-on garden chores in the heat. For me, hot times call for hunkering down and waiting it out. When the temps drop, I emerge. And then, 'tis the season for looking around and poking about. To assess, evaluate, and plan my what-nexts.

The post I link to below encapsulates my thinking about how I manage the ongoing evolution of our little garden. Because I wrote it last season, you might notice some differences in the garden photos and examples cited, but the overall message remains the same.
