A Carousel of Fall Foliage
reveling in the whirl of lively autumn tones
I'm a fall foliage gawker—I just can't get enough of it. If you love fall color as much as I do, you might be on the lookout for some late-season contributors to your garden, and this is a great season to select plants that will reliably add to the chorus during the grand finale of fall.

Do you recognize any of these show-offs? Perhaps you're growing one or more of them—or maybe you'd like to. Click through for the plant IDs and to get ideas for additional plants to pair them with in your garden.

Like
Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snow Queen'
Rhus typhina 'Tiger Eyes'
Hamamelis x 'Jelena'
Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku'
Cotinus 'Royal Purple'
Stewartia pseudocamellia
There's a veritable festival of color going on out there, but sadly, it won't last forever—now's the time to plan ahead to ensure you can bring the party to your own garden, year after year.
Until next time, enjoy your garden!
P. S. We're prepping for some major improvements to the site in the coming weeks and your input is incredibly valuable in shaping our direction. In order to deliver the best and most relevant content to you, I'd love to know a bit more about you: for example, where do you garden? how would you describe your level of gardening experience? are you in the hort biz?
