Straight Talk About Real Gardens 🌿 New Video

Summer is a wonderful time of yearβ€”the pace slows, and I savor those leisurely sunny afternoons and warm evenings out in the garden. For me, it’s a season to focus more on simply being in the garden, rather than constantly working in it.

This is when I take stock of what’s bringing me the most joyβ€”and, admittedly, I also come face to face with the weaker spots. But I try to view them with perspective and positivity. Gardens are a process and always evolving. Change is inevitable, and what might look like a β€œfailure” is really just part of learning and growing.

So I make notesβ€”sometimes mental, sometimes scribbled downβ€”about what I might want to change, revise, add, or subtract…but all that can wait for cooler days. For now, the focus is simply soaking in summer and letting tomorrow’s projects wait until I’m ready to dig in again.

This lush and beautiful garden is proof that you don’t need to rely on flowers for year-round beautyβ€”color, texture, and drama all come from bold foliage and thoughtful composition of plant forms.

While this tour isn’t live yet, you’ll find plenty of garden eye-candy and ideas already on my channel to explore in the meantime. Explore the full garden tour playlist for more video visits to beautiful gardens. Make sure to turn on notifications to get alerted when new videos go live.
