People who visit my garden often tell me it feels much bigger than it actually is. I garden on a fifty by one hundred foot lot in northeast Portland, but I've packed it with plants and distinct places to be.
How you divide your own space will depend on what you need and how you like to use it. In my garden, I've found that having multiple distinct areas works well, because different parts of the garden feel different depending on the season. |
