I've been following Kevin Chambers on Instagram for a while, watching his garden evolve. Then he posted a series of photos saying he was feeling good about how it was looking, and suggesting that it may be time for an open garden. I reached out and asked for a tour. |

Kevin is a fellow landscape designer, running a design-build business here in Portland, and his garden has a casual comfort—dense with plants but never messy, modern without feeling stark, the kind of curated ease that comes through in the details: the mocha-stained fence, the decomposed granite paths, a planting style built the same way he designs for clients.
