I've had pleasure of visiting a lot of gardens over the years—I never tire of it, and I always come away with at least one new idea or a fresh insight that helps make me a better gardener or a more creative designer. I always feelhonored and privileged to be invited into the private sanctuaries of the garden-makers.
I had the opportunity to pre-tour seven Portland area gardens that are going to be included on the ANLD Designers' Garden Tour on June 17th and I've assembled some photos from the day to whet your appetite and inspire you to join in if you live in or around Portland. If you're not in the Portland area, I'll bet there's a number of garden tours happening near you this summer and I encourage you to seek them out. Visiting gardens in person is always the best, but virtual garden tours are a great stand in and a way to see gardens from around the world. So wherever you garden, I invite you to get a taste of the wonderful gardens that will be shared on the ANLD tour.
