YouTube: Sights from my Spring Garden

This is such a fun time of year! Every day, every hour, something new is happening. I like to stroll in my garden first thing in the morning as I enjoy my first cup of coffee. In the evening, weather permitting, my husband and I like to end the day in the garden, enjoying the sights and catching up on the day's happenings.

It's been two weeks since I posted the video that I link to above. Yup, lots was happening then. But now? Holy cow, it's going gangbusters!

Plants and Garden Vignettes That Are Making Me Happy Today

A combination of attractive foliage and colorful flowers in my front yard garden: Radway Sunrise rose, Golden Ruby barberry, Dianthus, Allium, and more.

A sunny scene in my sloped front entry garden: Choisya 'Gold Fingers', Berberis 'Orange Rocket', Thalictrum 'Black Stockings', and the deep red flower is Clematis 'Nubia', just beginning to bloom.

Sweet and simple, this mostly-monochromatic plant combination features a mounding meadow rue, heuchera, and a hardy geranium.

Chocolate colored foliage of Rodgersia takes center stage, backed by a tapestry of lush foliage and a hint of flowers.

A soft and romantic tapestry of flowers and foliage along the path in my shady backyard garden; fat buds of a dwarf rhododendron are ready to burst into bloom, the rosy tones of the buds are echoed by the heuchera's foliage, and the yellow variegated foliage of the Jacob's Ladder is nice foil for its blue flowers.
